Mandrel Body Die
Mandrel Body Die, free float & axial alignment model.
This die is comparable with .223-.338 Lapua cartridge cases.
It requires the use of the expander manderals to function. These are compatible with our mandrels and with mandrels from a few other companies like Sinclair and similar 21st Century models. It will work on a single stage or progressive press. We recommend using our precision ground carbide mandrels for long term consistency.
This die holds the expander mandrel from Sgt of Arms, Sinclair, similar modeled 21st century mandrels.
Please, leave the cap limiting spacer in place while in use. It allows for free floating alignment of the mandrel reguardless of use on a progressive or single stage press. Extra time and consideration has been taken to ensure axial alignemnt of the mandrel in the center expander mandrel channel, while threaded into a press.
Extra care and consideration as been taken to ensure it works with all shell plate holders on presses readily available such as Co-Ax, Dillon 550/650/750/1050, Hornady Lock & Load Press & Accessories
Directions:
We recomend you to run the brass through the expander mandrel die before trim chafer and deburing, then again after inside neck chamfering to yield the most consistent results regarless of brass manufacutrter. This flattens out any inner neck burrs that may exist post trimming, chamfering and deburing along with uniforming the neck. Thus setting up the finished surface of the inner neck for the most uniform influence to the projectile possible.
**This die should be used after resizing your brass without the full size expander ball in place**
